Mink Vs Volume Vs Hybrid
-
"Mink"
- Mink lashes are the perfect choice if you are after a very natural, mascaraed look. These lashes are 100% synthetic, very fine and weightless earning the well suited nickname "mink" due to their super softness.
- Mink infills are recommended every 2 weeks to keep lashes looking fresh & tidy
-
Volume
- If you prefer more dramatic, glamorus lashes then the Volume (sometimes known as "Russian Lashes" are your best fit!
- A sheet of lashes made up of handmade individual fans, and applying each fan onto a single natural lash. Creating so many more lashes, still super fine, completely weightless and 100% comfortable.
- Volume Infills are recommended every 4 weeks to keep lashes looking thick, full and tidy.
-
Hybrid
- If the Mink are too natural and Volume are too heavy, then you need the Hybrid! A mix of the two techniques to create a perfect balance. A very popular choice indeed.
- Hybrid infills are recommeded every 3-4 weeks to keep lashes looking thick, full and tidy.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
To keep your lashes looking fresh, full & tidy, infills are recommended every 2-4 weeks depending on various factors, such individual aftercare, oily skin, and whether opting for Mink or Volume style lashes.
A full set, with no infills will typically last 6-8 weeks (until the last lash extension will fall off.
How long does the procedure take?
A Full set of Mink - up to 1 hour
A full set of Volume - up to 2 hours
A full set of Hybrid - up to 90 mins
An infill of Mink - up to 45 mins
An infill of Volume - up to 60 mins
An infill of Hybrid - up to 60 mins
Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?
As long as eyelash extensions are applied properly, they will not damage your natural lashes. It is of utmost importance that every single individial natural lash is perfectly isolated before attaching the false lash. It is also necessary to ensure the correct amount of glue is used in every instance. Too much glue, witll make the natural lashes clump together, causing discomfort and damage,
I have many clients repeat infills every 2 weeks for over 10 years, (no break) with no damage to their natural lashes whatsoever.
I personally have had eyelash extensions continuously for 14 years, without any damage to my own natural lashes whatsoever.
As long as eyelash extensions are applied with great care & precision, and aftercare is adhered to - no picking basically! There will be no damage to natural lashes.
If you have had previous damage to your natural lashes, it's important to wait a minimum of 6-8 weeks before having a new set of lashes. This allows for enough time for old damaged lashes to natually shed, and the new re growth to be established, healthy and ready to go again.
Perfect Application
The natural lash is isolated from neighbouring natural lashes using precision tweezers. The false lash (or fan of lashes if you are opting for Volume) is then applied to the individual natural lash.
The perfect amount of glue is used - not too much so there is zero clumping, and not too little to ensure a strong bond.
The false lash is applied solely to the natural lash, never touching the skin.
VOILA! The perfect technique! Ensuring, comfortable, durable and beautiful lashes. Every. Single. Time.
Patch Test
A patch test is required 24 hours before your intial treatment. Its takes 10 mins and is free. A few lashes are applied along the lash line on each eye to make sure there is no allergy to the glue.
