Lip Blushing typically last for 1-3 years. To keep your lips looking fresh, defined and full of pigment, top ups are usually reccomended every year.

Lip Blushing is a simple process which involves 2 treatments.

1st Treatment.

PRE-NUMBING CREAM IS APPLIED

1) A generous layer of topical pre-numbing cream especially designed for tattooing is first applied on lips and covered for 30 - 45 minutes while it works its magic.

COLOUR SELECTION

2) Although choosing the right pigment/shade takes time as we will discuss the perfect pigment to match your skin tone & hair colour. This is rather straightforward and I tend to find the correct lip colour as the easiest step despite having a spectrum of options of pinks/nudes/coral tones. In my experience, the perfect shade chooses the client each time.

However, if you already know your desired shade and have a favourite lipstick in mind, bring it with you and I will match it.

THE PRE-DRAW

3) Your lips are professionaly outlined with a super fine pen nib. As we age, our lipline/contour often loses its definition and pigment can fade. By having the contour of your lips outlined to perfect precision can make a huge improvement when symmetry is restored, enhancing a more youthful appearance. Even the most subtle or slightest tweak or adjustment makes such a difference.

4) Once the pre-draw is complete & pigment is selcted we get straight to it! I work on the top lip first, and do the "first pass", deposting the ink into the second layer of the dermis. This usually takes approx 10 mins. After your lip line is established and your top lip has had "the first pass", I can apply the anaesthetic gel. The numbing gel I use is seriously amazing! It takes only 3-5 mins to fully develop before you are 100% numb. Yes thats right, 100% NUMB.

5) I now continue to go over the top lip with more "passes" until it looks perfectly shaded.

6) Repeat the same process on the bottom lip.

2nd Treatment (4-8 weeks later)

(also known as top up) After your initial treatement your lips may fade, it is very likely almost guaranteed a top up treatment will be required. This is when another layer of pigment is implanted and any necessary changes can be done to the healed colour.
